“The children at Frant CE Primary had an unforgettable experience at the recent mummy workshop – they met Esmerelda, a real Egyptian mummy! There were lots of gasps and wide eyes as the children got the rare chance to gently touch her mummy wrappings, toes and even explore the unique smell of the embalming materials.

Gerrard was extremely engaging and full of fascinating facts about Ancient Egypt and the mummification process. The children were completely hooked – asking brilliant questions and showing real respect and curiosity throughout.

It was a hands-on, exciting and slightly smelly journey into the past that the children won’t forget anytime soon!

We will definitely want to see both Esmerelda and Gerrard again!”
